Jack

Olympic Weightlifter

I worked with Coach Chase during the latter half of college. He really helped me gain confidence and fix the technical flaws in my Olympic lifts. With no prior experience, I was able to improve my snatch from 65lbs -> 125lbs and my clean-and-jerk from 95lbs -> 182lbs. I also added 50 lbs to my back squat and 80 lbs to my front squat. Taking on Olympic lifting was very intimidating, but Chase’s confidence and experience really helped me commit to his programming and coaching. My programs with Chase were very technique focused and targeted my lack of flexibility. I received personalized monthly programs and weekly 1:1 coaching sessions. As someone who needs external motivation in the gym, these 1:1 sessions were crucial to my improvements in my lifts. During these 1:1 sessions, we also made modifications to the programs as we explored new movements and tackled new problems. To this day (3 years later), I still use our old programs and will continue to do so as long as I keep lifting.

Chase is a phenomenal coach and is great about custom tailoring a program to fit your goals and needs. I came to Chase as someone who was formerly powerlifting training because I needed a change in training. I started as someone who had never completed an Olympic lift ever and in just 4 months, I hit a clean and jerk PR of 225 and snatch PR of 165. He’s great about drilling fundamentals and building the base you need in order to succeed and progress efficiently. Furthermore, he is also great at mixing different complexes together throughout your training block so gym sessions never felt stale or repetitive. We would meet check-in once a week and do regular video review of complexes or exercises throughout the rest of the week. This was super helpful to have feedback you could go back through and listen to when you needed guidance. I can confidently say if you stay committed to his programming you will see immense progression in your lifts and goals.

Coach Overpeck was key to my development and success as an athlete. I trained with him for 3 years and gained 45 pounds over that time. At the end of those 3 years, some of my lifts had increased by as much as 200 pounds and I was also able to lower my 60 yard dash time by almost a whole second. By the end of my training I had become exponentially stronger, faster, and more explosive.

Lily

D1 Collegiate Swimmer

Throughout the 3 years that Chase coached me, he helped me in improving my fitness and strength as well as navigating injuries. When I first started, I was very inexperienced with training and we worked on my weaknesses. I also went through a shoulder injury and was given a personalized recovery plan to build my strength back better than before. Each year looked different as I went from learning to rehab and eventually being recruited by multiple D1 programs. Chase was able to adapt to my variety of goals and development stages which resulted in me being fully prepared when beginning training in college.

Training with Chase genuinely changed my life. Qualifying for my first Olympics would not have been possible without his exceptional coaching, expertise, and guidance. Not only did he help me become a stronger, more efficient and faster swimmer, he also helped me embrace the process and push through every challenge. The environment he created motivated me to show up every day and become the best version of myself. I went from an anxious, performance driven and unconfident athlete to someone in the best physical and mental shape of my life. My technique in lifts like cleans and squats improved dramatically, allowing me to move heavier weights. I went from struggling with a body weight pull up to hitting three reps with +45 lbs. Working with him truly took me to another level.

Katie Belle

2nd Team All-American Collegiate Swimmer

I spent about 2 years training with Chase, and I saw profound improvements not only in my swimming, but my overall fitness. Chase has always been passionate about helping athletes reach their full potential, and his guidance and workouts certainly took me to the next level. He doesn’t shy away from innovative techniques, such as using things like the flywheel, assault bike, and various sport-specific exercises. He uses a mix of endurance, power, and explosive movements to create a well-rounded plan. He also does a lot of research into the sports science side of our workouts, and always provides reasoning behind why we do the things we do. I was able to add 100+lbs to my squat and used my increased strength to become the 2nd fastest junior swimmer in the US. I thoroughly enjoyed my time under Chase’s leadership and I encourage anyone looking to take it to the next level to give his program a try.
